Attend a Class

Learn how wildlife rehabilitation works and connect with experienced rehabbers. Our hands-on classes are a great first step into helping wildlife.

Volunteer

Not all heroes handle animals. From transport to outreach and support roles, volunteers help make rescue possible.

Donate

Every dollar goes directly toward food, formula, medicine, supplies, and care for orphaned and injured wildlife.

Who are we?

TMWR was founded in 2010 and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) state-permitted wildlife rehabilitation organization. All our members are volunteers and reside in the state of Texas. We take in hundreds of wild animals every year and we need your help so we can assist other wildlife in need. We do not receive any monetary help from any local or government agencies. We depend solely on public donations.

Our Mission

Texas Metro Wildlife Rehabilitators primary mission is the rehabilitation and subsequent release of ill, injured, or orphaned native wildlife back to their natural habitats.

What do we do?

We rehabilitate mammals like cottontails, opossums, squirrels, raccoons, foxes, fawns, coyotes and skunks. Our organization also provides continuing education programs to our members and educates the public regarding the needs of our wild neighbors. Every year we take in and care for hundreds of wild animals and release them back to their natural habitats.

Does all wildlife need rescuing?

Sometimes babies are not in need of our help. If they are not orphaned, remember this: Mom knows best!
